The Arizona Perinatal Trust Poster Presentation at the National Network of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (NNPQC)
Denver, Colorado (December 2023)
As the CDC-recognized perinatal quality collaborative for the State of Arizona, the APT works closely with the NNPQC. The NNPQC is a National Institute for Children’s Health Quality (NICHQ) initiative with the mission to support the development and enhance the ability of state perinatal quality collaboratives to make measurable improvements in statewide maternal and infant healthcare and health outcomes (https://nnpqc.org/). The NNPQC provides resources and support, including networking opportunities for PQCs representing all fifty states.
Dr. Alan Bedrick, MD, and Dr. Laurie Wood, PhD, provided a poster presentation at the NNPQC annual meeting in Denver, Colorado. Presentation highlights of interest to fellow PQCs included our Perinatal Level of Care Quality Bundles. These bundles include more than sixty quality performance metrics submitted by certified hospitals and facilities each year. Additional interest surrounded APT’s federal grant funding including NICHD Connecting the Community for Maternal Health Challenge (2023) and the AHRQ Subaward (2023-2027).
